Our mission.
In the past couple years, I, as a student have noticed the late diagnosis, social stigma, lack of education / awareness among patients / caregivers, lack of holistic approaches to managing PD and lack of medical access among poor patients regarding Parkinson’s disease. As a biology student I have taken a great interest in molecular biology as well as the concept of diseases, I have decided to create this website as a place where I am able to pool all necessary information about PD so that we as a community are able to provide help as well as awareness about this degenerating disease.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
The beginning of our journey
It was then revealed to me, at the age of 11, that my grandfather was grappling with Parkinson’s disease. This is what explained his perpetual shaking and struggles with mobility. This prompted me to delve into research and pose numerous questions to gain a better understanding regarding the effects of Parkinson’s and what is currently being done to help cure this disease.
Prior to this, I had never imagined that my grandfather was afflicted with a degenerative illness. As a child, I attributed his symptoms to typical signs of aging. However, I gradually learned that he had been contending with Parkinson’s for more than a decade. I often pondered how his life might have differed without the diagnosis. However, upon his passing, my childhood memories of him aren't overshadowed by his illness; rather, they're filled with cherished moments like road trips, morning conversations, playful banter with my sister, and serene walks on the beach.

OUR VISION
What we’ve set out to achieve
1. To create awareness among patients and caregivers
2. Create a website that is a pool for information regarding PD and how a Parkinson’s patient, early diagnosed, young onset, and caregivers can help PD patients become more self-sufficient and lead better life.
3. Connections to the top hospitals and doctors in the country
4. Connections to other websites to further the awareness regarding Parkinson’s.
5. Providing tools for caregivers of Parkinson’s patients.
6. Raise Funds for medical support for Parkinson’s patients.
